If a fly falls into one of your containers [of food or drink], immerse it completely before removing it, for one of its wings carries disease and the other carries the cure.

You would have got more reward if you had given her (i.e. the slave-girl) to one of your maternal uncles.

If a slave marries without the permission of his master, his marriage is null and void.

O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women). They asked, 'Why is it so, O Allah's Messenger?' He replied, 'You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you.'

A nation with a woman as a ruler will never succeed.

If a man calls his wife to his bed, and she refuses him, and he passes the night angry with her, the angels will curse her till morning.

No woman should fast (Nawafil) except with the permission of her husband if he is present.

If you embrace Islam, you will be safe. You should know that the earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle, and I want to expel you from this land. So, if anyone amongst you owns some property, he is permitted to sell it, otherwise you should know that the Earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle.

Fight in the name of Allah and in the way of Allah. Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war, do not embezzle the spoils, do not break your pledge, and do not mutilate (the dead) bodies; do not kill the children.

Those whose pubic hair had grown were killed, and those whose pubic hair had not yet grown were let go.

The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. 'O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.'

Whoever frees a Muslim slave, Allah will save all the parts of his body from the (Hell) Fire as he has freed the body-parts of the slave.

I have been made victorious with awe (by Allah) by terrorizing my enemies.
