Our economy is a hundred times better than the average African economy. Outside South Africa, what country is [as good as] Zimbabwe? … What is lacking now are goods on the shelves – that is all.

We have said we are now independent and we are masters of our destiny. That is true. But what is more important is our economy.

The West wants to recolonize us. We will not allow them.

Our revolution is irreversible.

We are not afraid of sanctions. We have survived worse.
